Heavenly Father, we pray you open the our eyes to see past the doctrine of devils.
We pray you reveal your truth to us.
In Jesus name we pray
Amen
According to Scripture,a it is a myth that Satan is a fallen angel and known as Lucifer. The Bible directly contradicts this assumption. Nowhere in the Bible is Satan called Lucifer
Joh 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
So the question is where is the beginning?
Go to Genesis 1; 1 In the beginning……….
This is before anyone was created and the earth was still void and without form. So Satan was a liar and murderer from then. If God created Satan and he was an angel, then he would have had truth in him, if and when, God created him.
The Bible clearly gives us two scriptures where He gives us all the names of Satan and not once is Lucifer mentioned:
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Re 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:
Let us break down Isaiah 14;4 where Lucifer is mentioned.
ISAIAH 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased ! the golden city ceased !
We can see that this passage is directed to the king of Babylon
Isaiah 14:12 (KJV) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isaiah 14:16
They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
So this king is clearly a man and not a fallen angel. This man was brought down because of his vanity.
The ancient Syrians practiced a religion where they called themselves ” the children of heaven” see how the Bible backs this up.
Genesis 11:4
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; ……………
11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth:……………..
11:8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth:
So we can see that these people in Babel were scattered in all the earth each with their own language and build their own kingdoms,
One being Babylon, after their vain thoughts of exalting themselves and referring to themselves as gods. We know this is true as we need to just look at Greek mythology and their worship of the Zodiac and referring to themselves as “Children of heaven” as well as the ancient Babylonian religions, which is an in depth study all on it’s own.
See: Two Babylons or Papal Worship by Rev Alexander Hyssop
ISAIAH 14:13
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
Observe the direct correlation of “ who’s top may reach into heaven” and “ ascend into heaven” The King of Babylon had the same mind set and speech as those at Babel, which many historians and scholars consider the abode of ancient Babylon.
So in conclusion Lucifer is a man not a spirit being, so in no way can Lucifer be Satan. Satan does not have a fleshly body that can be in a grave and covered with worms See ISAIAH 14; 11
Last but not least God asked Isaiah to take up a proverb against the king of Babylon after Israel became a nation and after they were freed after their captivity in Babylon and after they would have taken Babylonians as their captives. This means that if Satan was ever Lucifer he would only have fallen as an angel after all these things had taken place which then would leave us with the conclusion that there was no Satan up and until Israel had reached that point.
This we know is not true as Satan (serpent) was already in Eden.
See ISAIAH 14:2
The following scripture is also used as a reference to Satan being a fallen angel mainly because they cannot see the other nations (trees) in Eden and the use of the word “ cherub”
So let’s break this passage down:
EZEKIAL28:12
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
The lord says Ezekiel must take up a lamentation against “ the King of Tyrus “ which we know is a man. see;
EZE 28:2
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, ……………..yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:
Again because of all their riches and success they exalt themselves above the Lord ” thou set their hearts as the heart of God” and share a similar speech to those at Babel.
Many believe that because God says that this King was perfect and in Eden it can only be Satan, because according to them there were only three beings in Eden, namely Adam, Eve and the Serpent ( Satan) Let’s break it down briefly and see if this is true:
EZE 28:12
Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;
Now Tyrus we know is Lebanon.
We now know Trees are a symbolism for nations and therefore there were more people (Trees) in Eden. Lebanon is also known as the “ Cedars of Lebanon “ otherwise known as the “Cedars.”
Here the Lord shows us they, the Lebanese nation, were also in Eden. (The garden of God)
EZE 31:8
The cedars *( Labanese) in the garden of God *(Eden) could not hide him:*( Pharaoh)
So now that we know being in Eden does not necessarily mean you have to be Adam, Eve or Satan we can move on to the next passage;
EZE 28:14
Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Cherub is a bit of anomaly and is a very vague word, the Hebrew says: cherub, Of uncertain derivation; a cherub or imaginary figure: -
It seems cherubs are used very loosely because if you look at
Eze 10:2
And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city.
You can see that they are not actually angels but rather a vehicle of some sort that has wheels. With the Ark of the Covenant they are described as golden statues. So we cannot solely use that as proof as a term used for Satan and need to look at the whole picture.
This prophesy against Tyrus actually starts in EZE 26 and the Lord goes into great description of it’s beautiful cities, wealth, merchant ships and all the nations Tyrus traded with.
Again this is not possible for a spirit being and is clearly a nation.
So again King of Tyrus is a man and not Satan, an angel that has fallen.
This following passage is also a strong argument for the fallen angel argument.
REV 12:7
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
12:8And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
12:9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
I agree this would make a strong argument for the “ fallen angel” theory if you do not read the whole passage in the scripture.
So let’s take a look and see what happened to cause Satan to be cast down.
REV 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ:*( SALVATION) for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them* ( Under the Law) before our God day and night.
12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Aha, so since Jesus Christ gave up His life for us on the cross, Satan has lost his power to accuse us to the Lord: as we are cleansed through HIS blood. AMEN
Remember the reference to “ heaven “ being the “ children of Heaven/ Babel” those we know as the Gentiles.
Satan has no more power over them as Jesus Christ came to offer them salvation which some of them will accept as “ they love not their lives unto the death”
Again this would mean that if Satan had “ fallen” this would only have occurred after Jesus Christ had come to earth and after He offered us Salvation, meaning that Satan would not have existed in the Old Testament which we know is not true.
Now we come to the most often used scripture used for this ” Satan, fallen angel ” myth.
It is a scripture completely taken out of context, from a complete story. Let’s investigate.
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Ok so yes, read just like that with no before or after reference point we would assume that Satan
literally fell from heaven at some or other time. Now who of us just picks up a book or story and starts reading from the middle? No one, because we wouldn’t understand what is going on.
So let’s go to the beginning of this specific story which starts in
luke 10 :1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two
and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
So Jesus commissioned the seventy to go to cities where He himself would also come and preach the good news.
They return and report the good news to Jesus in
Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the
devils are subject unto us through thy name.
And here Jesus responds to what they had accomplished in His name.
Luke 10:18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.
Remember the ” children of heaven ‘ Those that exalt themselves above the Lord and practice their own man made religions, based on Mythological beings? Let us see if these were some of those people. For this we need to look at two of the unrepentant cities, namely Chorazin and Bethsaida in Luke 10:13 who did not receive the seventy’s message.
CHURCH and ISRAEL FORUM- THE CURSED CITY OF CHORAZIN
“The archaeological excavations at Chorazin may also help us understand why the people
received such a curse from God. Although it obviously happened some generations after
Jesus, it is truly interesting that the descendants of these people would allow a Medusa to
be built right into their synagogue wall. Its presence betrays an assimilation with the
Greek and pagan practices of the time…….
It seems that the true faith always remains in a life and death struggle with paganism.
Throughout the centuries we see both Jews and Christians involved in this ongoing struggle.
It was not just at Chorazin,”
Archaeologists are not sure the location of Bethsaida but they know it was somewhere along the Sea of Galilee somewhere around where the Jordan River empties into it and archaeologicl excavations at the mouth of the Jordan have revealed a site which some have tentatively identified as Bethsaida. But we can be sure that they behaved in the same manner as the people of Chorazin.
Without getting to deep we can accept that oftentimes “heaven” is a state of ungodliness and pagan worship, and not always an ethereal place and that Satan, was cast out of the people who chose to turn from their evil lways and accept the salvation offered to them by our Blessed Christ.
Also it would mean that if Satan had fallen , it would have happened at the time of the seventy’s commission, which again would mean that Satan was not around in the Old Testament. Jesus finishes up with these words to the seventy.
Luke 10;19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Jesus has given us spiritual authority over Satan and his demons in the power of His name and that is the reason Satan fell from “heaven” . Not a literal physical fall from the presence of God as many would have us believe.
So in conclusion it is scriptural impossible that Satan is a fallen angel
and is, as the Bible says, ” he was a liar and a murderer from the…. beginning!”
God Bless in the Truth of our Blessed Christ and His gift of the wonderful and patient Holy spirit.
AMEN
To solve the “beginning” problem…the Bible is God’s gift to mankind. Mankind and the planet in the universe mankind find himself, did have a beginning and Genesis and the Word starts at that beginning as it speaks to man not the angels and also is it not designed to speak to satan either.
John 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.
Dear Dirk
There is no beginning problem.
Genesis 1;1 In the beginning…………..
But thank you for your comment.
